So this woman came in to work today from Columbia and ordered two coffees and a brownie which came up to 8 something. Well she tried to pay and her foreign card didn't work on our registers. She called her husband to go outside to their car and get a credit card. Well the lady behind her offered to pay for it so her husband didn't have to go out in the cold to go get it. The lady from Columbia argued for awhile with the other woman. She gave in and the other lady paid for her drinks and the other woman's drinks. Then she told the woman from Columbia that it was just a nice thing to do and that she was honored to give something to someone else. And no she wasn't a hippy or rich or something like that, she was in her late 30's early 40's and in jeans.It was just nice.
You don't get many people who just do nice things for each other anymore. I mean it's not like we have to pay for things for anything but just doing something nice. I mean karma isn't the only reason we should do generous acts. We should want to because we want to better mankind. That's why I love when people are just doing things because they know it's just a good thing to do. It makes the world a better place when we just stop and do something to make someone's day.
